About Chris
Chris Fielding began his studio career back in 2003 and has been producing, engineering, mixing and mastering countless albums since then. Becoming in-house engineer at the legendary Foel Studio in Mid Wales, UK in 2006, he then established Skyhammer Studio, Chesire in 2013. Chris is now based back in Mid Wales, working Freelance out of a number of choice residential studios and his own dedicated mixing and mastering suite.
Having worked with bands such as Electric Wizard, Primordial, Winterfylleth and Soar to name but a few, plus a decade of experience as a touring musician playing in the doom metal band Conan, Chris has worked at the forefront of the underground heavy music scene in the UK and the rest of the world for over 20 years. He is able to bring unparalleled expertise and creativity to every project whilst understanding how to make artists feel comfortable in the studio, helping them to unleash their full potential.
